BOOKED SOLID UNTIL LATE MAY, 2008! Sorry for the delayed update! Getting lots of costume commissions ready for Anime Central! I've decided to start focusing more on plushie commissions and cyber/anime themed fashions starting in April! I still do art and costume requests, however, plushie and cyber fashion requests have been my best money maker and most requested items. I want to be able to give people what they want the most, so I'll be setting up my schedule so I can devote more time to these things. :3 If you have any further questions that are not answered in this section, please refer to my F.A.Q. section or email me at crizl@juno.com. To prevent myself from ‘overbooking’ or taking on more than I can handle, I have a commission schedule. I only take a few commission jobs per month, depending on what specifically my current commissions jobs are that month. I will not accept any additional commissions until my current ones are completed. I accept commissions on a first come, first serve basis. If I am currently booked, I can try and contact you when I am available to take your request. If I cannot take your commission at this time I’ll be happy to refer you to other artists who may be able to fulfill your request. Please consider that I am currently staff for various websites so I often take time to create art for these sites. I also have a couple part-time jobs that help sustain my cash flow. ^^" All my prices vary from job to job. Pricing is determined by the cost of materials, amount of detail required, and estimated time for labor. I charge an average of $15-$20 per hour. I apologize if my pricing seems expensive, but to be honest, my prices are quite reasonable. I am a professional artist and I have completed various art jobs for $17 per hour. Besides, my job at the sushi place pays an average of $15 or more per hour, and I'm certainly not rich, I can't really afford to work for less. Art is fun, but it’s still hard work that should be compensated for. These prices are just estimations to give an idea how much to expect to pay for my work. Various commissions can be more or less, depending on the request. All prices are in USD (United States Dollars). Prices are non-negotiable and I do not issue refunds, unless in case of the rare event that I make a huge mistake or I am unable to complete your request due to my own mistfortune. I do not print them myself. This pricing is what I have to pay to have a poster printed for you. Average time- takes 1-2 weeks Cost of materials- $30 +shipping costs for each poster Fanarts: Copic brand ink pens and markers Copic brand paper, #5 Prismacolor colored pencils Bristol vellum paper Notes about these products: Copic products are used by professional artists in Japan for anime and manga. They are a little more expensive than other products but are well worth the extra money. Fancels: Duralar mylar sheets Delta Ceramcoat acrylic paints Koh-I-Noor Acetate ink Notes about these products: I use Duralar mylar rather than animation acetate due to the fact that mylar lasts longer than acetate. It does not rip easily and it does not turn yellow like acetate. I use traditional dipping pens to do my ink outlines. This may seem more difficult than a standard ink pen, but dipping pens lay down much nicer links with even consistency. Most anime and manga artists use dip pens. Plushies: Burlington Premium T-Shirt Transfers Soft Touch Poly-Fil Supreme fiberfil stuffing (non-allergenic) Craft Velour by Guilford Mills 100% Trevira Polyester Various fleeces and cotton blends Scotch Gard fabric protector Notes about these products: Burlington Premium T-Shirt Transfers are great quality and do not crack easily. Soft Touch stuffing maintains great shape over time and does not ‘clump’ or bunch up, ensuring that your plushie will keep a nice shape. Craft Velour by Guilford Mills is the closest to traditional Ufo Catcher fabric I have found in the U.S. so far. It is soft and takes iron-on transfers easily. I use non-pill fleece for hair, which which does not fray or get that little ball-shaped lint that felt normally gets. Scotch Gard helps prevent stains and keep moisture from damaging your plushie. When should you make a payment? This is how a commission is handled: Step 1- Send me an e-mail request for a commission. My e-mail addrss is crizl@juno.com. Include as many details as possible. Step 2- I send you a reply via e-mail. I will send you an estimate of how much I will need to complete your commission. Step 3- You must agree to my price. If you do, send me a reply and let me know you are willing to pay the amount I have asked for. I will then draw you a rough sketch of your request and send it via e-mail. Step 4- You must approve of my rough sketch before I start on your final piece. If you have any suggestions, you are welcome to make them. Once you are satsfied with my rough sketch, I will then ask for payment. I WILL NOT START THE FINAL VERSION OF YOUR COMMISSION REQUEST UNTIL I RECIEVE YOUR PAYMENT. For a fancel, I will need the payment as soon as we agree on a price. A rough sketch is not necessary because fancels are just based on actual still frames of animation, we already know what it will look like! For something more complex like a plush, I need at least half of my estimated price before I start. |
