Please read all the details here before contacting us!  Thankies!  Any questions not answered
here are in the 'HIRE INFO!!' section! ^_~

"HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE A PLUSHIE?"-  When you submit a request and send
your payment, you should be receiving your plushie anywhere from 3-6 weeks.
 If you need it
sooner, please let us know and we'll do all we can to help you!
The amount of time varies from
plushie to plushie, it really depends on the character, size,  how much detail is needed, etc.  Our
smallest size of 7inches can take 5- 10 hours.  The largest, 24 inches, can take 12-20 hours.

OUR MISSION IS TO MAKE YOUR PLUSHIE HIGH QUALITY AND EVERY DETAIL AS PERFECT AS
POSSIBLE!! ^_^  We do not believe in sacrificing quality or details just to finish a plushie and get it
out of here. (unless you ask us to, lol)   We know that these plushies are requested for very
special reasons, like holidays, birthdays, cosplay accessories, etc.  There's NO WAY we would
ever want to make any plushie that you will not love 100%!

Planet Go Boom is mainly operated by one person, Crizl, so nearly all the work is done by her.
Sometimes she has assistants who help cut the fabrics for plush bodies, and others who help her
get materials and advertise, but for the most part, nearly all the plushe work is done by one person.

We are proud to say that our plushies are in high demand lately, and we try to make sure we can take
all the requests we can.  For unexplainable reasons, we seem to get orders in waves, for example,
one week we may get no orders and the next week we may get 4.  It's rather unpredictable, so we
can't always determine an exact amount of time we will need to fill your request.  However, if you give
us a deadline, we will do all we can to meet your deadline.
Our biggest request times are Christmas,
Valentine's Day, and right before large anime conventions here in the US.  (usually right when
summer starts.)

Since we do plushies by request with a wide variety of characters in demand, it's impossible to have
every single type of material we will need on hand.  Around 90% of all plushies requested require we
order at least 1 fabric that we don't have already, or have to hunt several local stores to find something
specific for a plush.  Sometimes the gathering of materials alone for just one plush can take 1-3
weeks, depending on how easily we find exactly what we need.

WITH ALL THIS INFORMATION IN MIND, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR PLUSHIE COULD
POTENTIALLY TAKE LONGER THAN ESTIMATED, BUT YOU WILL GET YOUR PLUSHIE EXACTLY THE
WAY YOU WANT IT!  ^_~

"WHAT STEPS ARE INVOLVED IN MAKING MY PLUSHIE REQUEST?  DO I GET TO SEE
PROGRESS OR OFFER INPUT ON HOW I WANT CERTAIN DETAILS TO BE DONE?"
-

There are many steps involved, and yes, you can see progress pictures and you can offer input on any
special requests you want for your plushie.   Please note that if you are rather particular about wanting
to oversee every detail that goes into your plush, this will extend the amount of time needed to
complete your plushie.

The first step involved is sketching the face for your plushie.  This is done in pencil, and the picture
will be emailed to you for your approval.  Once the pencil sketch is approved, a final cleaned up color
version will be created and make into an iron-n decal.  Please note that we try to fit several plushies
faces on one sheet of iron-on material, so sometimes we need a little more time to complete faces
for other orders before we can print the one for your order at the same time.  (The iron-on material is
expensive ^^")

After face approval, we will send at least 1 or more progress pictures while the plushie is being
constructed.  (The amount we are able to send will vary from job to job, depending on how much time
is needed)  Then of course, you get a couple pics of the finished plushie sent via email.

If you want to personally oversee certain details of your plushie, like choosing the fabrics needed
on-line, or how weapons are contructed, etc, you can do this.  Going back and forth about the details
via email can be time consuming, so please be patient. ^_^

"I'M NOT ABLE TO AFFORD YOUR PRICES, IS THERE ANY WAY TO MAKE THEM LOWER?"- Our
prices are non-negotiable, meaning that we will not lower them.  There is one option to make your
plushie at a slightly lower cost, which is if you don't mind the hair being done with less pieces.  Our
plushies usually have anywhere from 20-50 small pieces set together to create the hair, but we can
always do the hair with fewer, larger pieces, just like the ufo plush dolls found in stores and on-line.
Please note this would only lower the cost by $10-$15 USD.

"WHY DO CUSTOM PLUSHIES COST MORE THAN THE ONES I CAN BUY IN A STORE?"-This is
probably one of the most frustrating questions that plush artists sadly have to deal with.
 A  store
bought plush is lower in cost due to 2 major factors, which is they were made in bulk and most likely
over-seas.  If a plush is made in bulk, the materials can be bought in bulk at very low prices.  Also the
labor costs are usually very low.  So the companies that make these plush usually only spent very
little per plush (maybe a couple dollars) and can afford to sell them $15-$30 USD and still make god
profits.

Now when you get a plushie custom made, just for you, the artist has to pay retail price for their
materials.  Also the artist has to create all the details for your plush just that 1 time, so they aren't
going to gain by making the plush in bulk.  Anyone who can sew well are paid much higher here in the
United States than in other countries, so it is very unlikely to find a seamstress in the U.S. that will
sew for less than $10/hr.  (professionals can make almost $50/hr!!!)  Many plush artists also sew by
hand, which is very time consuming.  We personally do not do hand sewing, but the plush are still
very time consuming.  So many American plushie artists charge $40 and up, up, up for their work.

"WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?"- Paypal and Money Order!  You may send a
personal check, however, we will not start until we deposit your check and the funds have cleared.

"CAN I PAY IN INSTALLMENTS?"- We need at least half of the final estimated cost before we can
start.  When the plush is half complete, we will send a progress picture, and if you like the progress,
we will require the other half before we complete the plush.

"DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES?"- Yes!  But please note that the shipping cost may
be high, and please let us know if there are any special conditions we would need to know before we
ship to you!

"EEK!! I NEED MY PLUSHIE IN A HURRY, CAN YOU DO RUSH JOBS OR EXPRESS SHIPPING?"-
Yes!  Depending on our schedule, we can usually do an express job.  Please note that there may be
express fees, especially if you want overnight shipping.   For Next Day shipping by USPS, it starts at
$25 and up.

"CAN YOU MAKE PLUSHIES IN DIFFERENT SHAPES OR POSES THAN THOSE IN YOUR
GALLERY?"
- Yes, but you would need to contact us first,  Depending on the request, the price of your
request may be higher than those listed in the hire section.

"I HAVE AN ORIGINAL CHARACTER I WANT TO HAVE MADE INTO A PLUSHIE, CAN YOU DO
THAT?"
- Sure!  We would just need a reference image or a very detailed text description.

"ARE YOUR PLUSHIES SAFE TO GIVE TO SMALL CHILDREN?"- We can make plushies for small
children, but those like in our gallery are intended for collectors and have small pieces that could be
pulled off and swallowed.

"WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE THE PLUSH, I CHANGE MY MIND, OR IF I HAVE AN EMERGENCY AND
CAN'T AFFORD TO SEND THE FINAL PAYMENT?"
- We are pretty understanding, so we can always
work things out to make sure you are happy.  However, if the materials were already purchased or any
sewing has been done, we cannot offer a refund.  We may be able to offer a partial refund, it really
depends on the situation.

"WILL YOU SEND ME YOUR PLUSHIE PATTERN?"- Nope.

"CAN YOU TEACH ME HOW TO MAKE MY OWN PLUSHIES?"- That would just take waaaay too
long to explain....so no, sorry!  However, please check out the forums at
ufocatcher.net!  There are lots
of other artists with lots of great tips to help you out!

"CAN YOU CHANGE THIS ONE MORE TIME?  OR MAYBE CAN YOU CHANGE THAT TOO?"- We
usually get all our plushie details correct and most customers don't ask for any changes when they
see our progress photos.  We don't mind making any small changes, however, please be very
specific about any details you feel are most important.  This way we can avoid being asked to make
too many changes.  Changes can cause delays with your plushie and plushies for other customers
as well.   Also if we feel we are being asked for way too many changes or irrational requests, we will
decline your order and offer a partial refund.

"CAN I BUY ONE OF THE PLUSHIES IN YOUR GALLERY?"- Those have been sold, sorry!  We
might be able to make you a second one, it really depends on which one you want.

"IS IT ILLEGAL TO SELL A PLUSHIE OF A COPYWRITTEN CHARACTER?"- Our plushies are
protected by 'Parody Law'.  They are all 'silly' versions of characters.  For example, if you ever see
a character being made fun of in a TV show or in a magazine, it is legal to sell that magazine or
show because it's a parody.  Our plushies are also parodies of characters and celebrities.  not a
direct copy of other plushies that are official licensed products, therefore, are legal to sell.

"DO YOU ACCEPT TRADES FOR YOUR PLUSHIES?"- We aren't rich.....so we really prefer cash for
our work!

The only types of trades Crizl may be interested in would be very rare, super wild, cyber clothing from
Europe or Asia!  It would have to be something REALLY cool though, like with lots of straps, buckles,
cool designs, essentially not something she can easily find in the Unites States or couldn't just sew
herself.  She is a size Medium and usually prefers things that are red, neon green, pink, silver, or
black.

"I HAVE A PET ALLERGY, DO YOU OWN ANY ANIMALS?"- We do, we have a fuzzy British
Long-Hair cat named Lily.  She loves people, so often she checks on us while we sew!  Generally,
she doesn't touch any of the items we use for sewing, and fabric is stored in bins.  Also her breed has
been known to be better for those with pet allergies.  We always lint brush our plushies too, so if you
have any allergies you should be ok, but if you have serious pet dander allergies, we may not be able
to do your request, sorry!

"CAN YOU MAKE ANY OTHER ITEMS, SUCH AS COSTUMES?"- Yes, we have done costume
requests in the past.  We usually don't like to do them because we don't really have the room to do
costumes on a regular basis.  However, feel free to contact us, we may be able to do a costume
request if our schedule is open.

"DON'T YOU HAVE AN ANOTHER WEBSITE?"- Yes, it is www.crizl.com
That is Crizl's older site for commisson artwork, also it was a test to see what types of commissions
customers were interested in on-line.
